Brooke Bowman Mitchell is a native of Madison County, Kentucky. Brooke graduated from Model Laboratory School, and later obtained her B.A. in English from the University of Kentucky, where she graduated summa cum laude. Brooke graduated in the top 8% of her law school class at UK, where she served on the Kentucky Law Journal.
Brooke practices in the areas of civil litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance defense, contract and boundary disputes, as well as estate planning, probate, and business transactions.
Brooke is admitted to practice before all Kentucky state courts, both U.S. Federal District Courts in Kentucky, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Kentucky, and the United States Supreme Court. She has successfully tried cases in a number of Kentucky Counties, and has argued before the Kentucky Court of Appeals.
In addition to her courtroom success, Brooke was voted best lawyer in Richmond (“Best of Richmond”) by the readers of the Richmond Register in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. She currently serves as an Assistant Madison County Attorney, and sits on the City of Richmond Board of Ethics.
